Monkeys and Muchanga

We made a lot of progress on the house today. Everyone is doing well and having a great time. Even the hour long bus ride to and from the house each day have been fun. We've come to love the Watoto ministry even more as we've had the chance to see what we've read and heard about now first hand. You can find out more by checking out their www.watoto.com or wait until we come home and we will probably tell you more than you want to know.

We've moved so many bricks and slung so much muchanga. Muchanga is Lugandan for mix and it's what you shout when you need more of it. Vasan is pretty much the Master of Moving Muchanga and Sonya showed some endurance today mixing it. If you forget "Muchanga" you can pretty much yell anything close, Muchacha, Mufassa, Chimichanga, and it will promptly show up at your feet. If someone yells monkey though, it's probably because they've spotted one near the worksite.

Thanks for your comments and your prayers.!

I'm sitting here at my desk at the University of Maryland in muggy College Park and praying for the team while looking at the terrific narrative and photos. You are all doing such a wonderful work for the Lord - I know He will continue to bless each of you and all of the children there by your selfless work.

God's richest blessings! Wanda

ssed11We are about 2/3s done with the house and had an awesome time in worship last night worshiping and praying after dinner. I've found another awesome family. The food is terrific. Please continue to pray for us as we have opportunities to minister to the citizens of Uganda. There are so many stories..this is the MOST productive vacation I've had. Thank you all for your support.

Love Vasan

Awesome! Look what you've done already. You're becoming master masons overnight. If we ever have to build a church from scratch, we'll know who to call!

I don't guess you guys are doing much running around "after work". I bet all you want is a good meal, a hot shower (is there one?), and a soft (or not-so-soft -- just any ol' ...) bed.

God bless you and your ministry. The building will be there, and the Lord, the children, you and I will remember it long after those muscles you didn't know you had have stopped hurting.

Praying for all of you.
